Three fatal shootings in 12 hours have jolted the city and left a neighbourhood in fear, but police are downplaying the most recent rash of violence. "When a spike like that happens in the year, we have to remember that this stuff does level out over the average year," Toronto police Staff Insp. Jeff McGuire told a news conference yesterday.
