Canadian imams denounce terrorism, extremism

For the first time, Canadian imams have joined together to issue a statement denouncing terrorism and calling upon Canadian Muslims to confront extremism. “Those who would use violence for their twisted acts betray the most basic value of the sanctity of the human life,” said Imam Ahmad Kutty in a prepared statement on behalf of 120 imams from across Canada.
